A joy for photo-editing and illustration in Photoshop. You can slide the screen down to turn the laptop into a large tablet and then use the Microsoft Slim Pen 2 to draw or mask directly on the screen. But what most stood our for us when we used Photoshop on this laptop is the touch screen and stylus support that comes with the two-in-one form factor. It's got a thin and light design that rivals Apple's best devices, with a gorgeous screen that we found working in Photoshop a joy, plus excellent battery life so you can edit photographs or illustrate without worrying about being near a power outlet. Offering Windows 11 compatibility and some seriously powerful hardware, this laptop has been well received by creatives across various backgrounds, from digital illustrators, writers and photographers. The Surface Laptop studio can be considered as a Windows-based rival to many of the popular macOS products on the market, and with Microsoft having spent so much time developing the Studio range these last few years, it's little wonder why. This means it's an excellent choice for professional photographers or anyone who wants their photos to look their very best when editing them in Photoshop. Read more with our full Dell XPS 17 (2021) review. Perhaps most importantly, the screen supports 100% Adobe RGB and 94% DCI-P3 colour gamuts, which means this offers accurate colours as well. We found that the 16:10 aspect ratio screen is ideal for photographers as it offers more vertical space than standard 16:9 widescreen displays, and it can be configured with a 4K Ultra HD+ resolution of 3,840 x 2,400. This is a shining example of just how great a Windows device can be for creatives, and you even have the option of buying with Windows 11 preinstalled. Plus, for a 17-inch laptop, as well as being impressively thin and light to boot. You can get up to an 11th generation Intel i9 processor, 64GB of memory and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card to power through any demanding renders. Dell already makes some of the best Windows products you can buy, but its XPS range is favoured by creative professionals thanks to its superior build-quality and powerful components. The Dell XPS 17 (2021) is one of the best portable workstations on the market, especially so if you're not a fan of macOS – and it works great as a Photoshop laptop, too.

When you see an opening, you can use finishers like Gladiator Beast Dimacari (a strong one-of) or Gladiator Beast Fusion monsters like Nerokius and Heraklinos to close out the game. This allows you to freely attack into stronger monsters in order to tag out. The Holy Guard skill works especially well with Impenetrable Attack because you never have to worry about taking damage on your turn. To ensure your monsters survive the battle phase, use cards like Enemy Controller and Impenetrable Attack to manipulate enemy monsters and protect your own. In general, you'll focus on controlling the board by tagging between Bestiari and Murmillo while Laquari, your strongest normal attacker, holds the line. So, to play them correctly, you need to determine when to tag out and who to summon based on the situation. Their unique effect allows them to 'tag out' whenever they attack or are attacked, letting you special summon another Gladiator Beast from your deck and activate their effect. Together with Three-Star Demotion, which allows you to normal summon Black Dragon Ninja or Red Dragon Ninja from your hand for one turn, this makes for incredibly consistent OTKs, often as early as turn two. An added bonus is that you don't need multiple copies of Black Dragon Ninja if you don't have them, since you can consistently summon him from anywhere. Ninjitsu Art of Transformation and Duplication ensure you always have immediate access to the Ninjas you need, and support spells like Ninjitsu Art Notebook and Armor Ninjitsu Art of Alchemy help thin your deck. You can repeat this process as long as you have Ninja and Ninjitsu cards to tribute. The obvious implication is removing defending enemy monsters, but you can also blink Black Dragon Ninja himself to protect him from enemy effects (he won't be targetable when the chain resolves) or to allow him to attack repeatedly in the same battle phase. You want to use his effect to remove monsters from play at the right time, frequently during the battle phase. I wanted to begin with Ninjas because it's arguably the closest thing to a 'normal' Yu-Gi-Oh deck that you'll find in Duel Links: it's filled with unique cards, it has high one-turn-kill potential, and it has a tool box of support cards to help clear the way for an OTK.īlack Dragon Ninja is the core of this deck. Customs union. This type provides for economic cooperation as in a free-trade zone.An example is the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Member countries remove all barriers to trade between themselves but are free to independently determine trade policies with nonmember nations. Free trade area. This is the most basic form of economic cooperation. There are four main types of regional economic integration. Regional economic integration has enabled countries to focus on issues that are relevant to their stage of development as well as encourage trade between neighbors. Identify the major regional economic areas of cooperation.Understand regional economic integration.Another disadvantage of trade blocs is that small, local businesses are often put out of business when larger, international corporations are able to produce the same goods at lower costs. After reading this section, students should be able to … This is particularly true when the trade bloc expands to cover issues like immigration, human rights, and environmental protection. Additionally, belonging to a trade bloc may effectively decrease a country’s political autonomy. The majority of the world’s countries are members of the WTO. This is because they promote regionalism, undermining the objective of the World Trade Organization (WTO). Many economists believe that regional trade blocs prohibit global economic growth. Disadvantages of Trade Blocsĭespite the inherent advantages of trade bloc agreements, they also have several disadvantages. As these economies become stronger, they encourage foreign direct investment. The manufacturers and businesses with the lowest prices are made more successful and able to increase production, resulting in market efficiency. This changes consumer demand and behavior as most customers turn to the lowest priced goods (known as trade effects). Because trade blocs eliminate trade barriers, previously expensive or unavailable products become available in new markets at affordable prices. This puts them in direct competition with one another, which ultimately leads to increased efficiency as they each try to increase their profit margins. Because trade blocs unite several international markets, the manufacturers, producers, and other businesses within member countries are also brought closer together. The benefits include competition, market efficiency, trade effects, economies of scale, and foreign direct investment. By the end of the 20th Century, over half of the world’s nations were members of some sort of a trade bloc agreement.Įconomists have identified 5 general advantages of establishing a trade bloc. This trend toward trade blocs was seen in middle-income countries throughout the 1960’s, 1970’s, and after the fall of communism in the 1990’s. The GATT became the World Trade Organization in 1995. This agreement originally had 23 member nations, and by 1994 it had grown to include 123 members. Other trade blocs did become prominent again until after World War II with the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) of 1948. This strong trade agreement led to the founding of the North German Confederation of 1867, which eventually became the German Empire in 1871. The majority of the German states were members by 1866. The existence of the German Empire was made possible by the implementation of a new trade bloc, the German Customs Union of 1834. Its last formal meeting was in 1669 although it was not officially disbanded until 1871 with the creation of the German Empire. This trade bloc began to lose power in the late 16th Century due to increased trading of English, Roman, Dutch, and Ottoman Empire merchants. It was implemented to protect the economic interests and political privileges of North European merchant associations. The Hanseatic League of the late 12th Century was one of the earliest documented trade blocs. The most well-known examples of major trade blocs seen around the world today include the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the European Union (EU), the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR), and the Southern African Development Community (SADC). To encourage trade among member states, tariffs, taxes, and other trade barriers among them are often reduced or abolished. The agreement is entered into as a means of protecting member nations from excessive imports of non-member nations. A trade bloc is a trade agreement among governments that are typically within a shared geographical region. For scanned PDF or image file, there is an additional step: enable OCR. At homebrew levels, consistency is more important than trying to maximize any sort of efficiency.įirst beer i brewed was kal's english mild and i used the 95% efficiency numbers. Find the number(s) that work for you and stick with them, and don't worry about it. i have yet to fool around with the crush to try to improve efficiency but just am not that worried about it. That works out to just a few bucks more per batch depending on the grain bill, i'm not going to sweat it. and end up with two full 5 gallon kegs of finished product and some leftover beer, maybe a quart or so depending on how much dry hopping was done. With that approach above, i hit all of the numbers kal publishes for og, color, etc. that works out to just a few bucks more per batch depending on the grain bill, i'm not going to sweat it. comparing some recipes right now, this calculated lower efficiency results in about 10% or so more grain being used when compared to kal's numbers. i also perform a mashout and typically sparge for 75 minutes. i can't recall my grain mill gap setting off the top of my head but it is something like. This works out to a mash efficiency of 83.6%. for my system:Ġ.25 gal 'lauter tun losses' (under 'equipment profile' tab)Ġ.5 gal 'loss to trub and chiller' (under 'equipment profile' tab)ġ gal 'fermenter loss' (under 'equipment profile' tab)Ġ.25 gal 'tun deadspace' (under 'mash' tab) i have mine set at 80% but that number only means something if the variables that go into calculating that number are known. the efficiency number on the beersmith recipe design tab is brewhouse efficiency. I have made several of kal's recipie on my system, using beersmith for recipe formulation. I assume you mean conversion + lauter efficiency when you say 'mash efficiency' which would be synonymous with pre-boil efficiency. Which is different than post-boil efficiency as it takes into account the loss due to trub, etc., and only uses the volume in the fermenter.
